Two men have been caught packing a drone full of drugs after accidentally leaving its camera switched on.

The couple were identified following the drone’s crash on its drone drop off journey.

Police discovered the drone and when looking at the footage on the camera, were able to identify the men behind the mission.

The duo, named as Paul Reilly and Michael Martin, were allegedly trying to get the drugs to Martin’s brother in Perth Prison, Australia.

According to a report by the BBC, Reilly was jailed for 33 months and Martin a year.

The report goes on to describe how the couple had no idea they were on camera while packing £3,000 worth of drugs into kinder eggs into the drone.

Drones being used in this way is becoming an increasing problem across the globe, with this news following a Commercial Drone Professional report earlier this week detailing how a prison inmate in Dublin got their hands on a Chinese takeaway after a drone delivery.
