A drone pilot has man national headlines with his successful life-saving UAV mission in Norfolk.
A major search was launched for Peter Pugh, 75, from Brancaster, Norfolk, after he disappeared following a walk on Saturday June 16.
According to Norfolk Constabulary, drone technology played a crucial role in helping the emergency responders locate Pugh.
Sgt Alex Bucher from Norfolk Constabulary said: “Without the police drone we would not have been able to locate him in the time we did.
“It allows us to search areas that are difficult to access and within close range where a helicopter may not be able to get.”

Following the rescue mission, Commercial Drone Professional spoke to Sergeant Danny Leach, who piloted the UAV responsible for identifying Pugh.
