Aerodyne partners with Saudi telecom subsidiary


Aerodyne has partnered with STC Specialized, a Saudi Telecom Company subsidiary.

The companies have confirmed that the partnership will provide critical asset inspection and management solutions to their enterprise clients.

The agreement will see Aerodyne implementing its drone-based enterprise solutions for STC Specialized’s clients within telecoms, power, oil & gas and other infrastructure-led industries.

It is also hoped to provide an opportunity for both parties to further embrace and refine the rapidly-developing market for 5G technology.

Recently Saudi’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) launched an electronic service to obtain the permits required for operating UAVs in Saudi Arabia.

A spokesperson for the GACA commented: “Launching this e-service falls within the context of the relentless efforts exerted by GACA for a safe airspace achieving a secure environment in accordance with the strictest international safety standards, in addition to improve and regulate the navigation of drones, in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030.”
