Volansi has closed $50 million in a Series B round of funding. Led by Icon Ventures, other participants in this financing include existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and YCombinator as well as new investors Harpoon Ventures and Merck Global Health Innovation Fund. In addition to the company's funding, Volansi also announced Joe Horowitz, managing partner of Icon, and Barry Eggers, founding partner of Lightspeed, will join its board of directors. LMT conducts first cross-border drone flight on mobile network

LMT has successfully completed the first cross-border drone flight in Latvia on its mobile network. The cross-border flight was performed during the LAMPA Conversation Festival within the scope of a discussion on the future role of drones in society. Drone Delivery Canada gives update on successful condor testing

Drone Delivery Canada has provided an update on the Condor drone from successful testing in Alberta, Canada. The company successfully tested numerous critical aspects of the Condor, including:  triple-redundant communications system (satellite, cellular, 900MHz RF); triple-redundant navigational guidance system; triple-redundant autopilot system; monitoring of unmanned flights remotely from DDC’s Operations Control Centre in Vaughan, Ontario; general flight stability and performance; and fuel consumption characteristics. Drone Delivery Canada successfully implements second route with DSV Canada

Drone Delivery Canada has confirmed successful implementation of its second cargo drone route with DSV Air & Sea Inc using DDC’s drone delivery platform. The intent of the roll-out is for DSV to deliver various types of cargo, including healthcare related cargo, from a DroneSpotTM at DSV’s warehouse in Milton, Ontario to a DropSpot at RB (Reckitt Benckiser) in Milton, approximately 4km away.
