The company behind autonomous drone systems has revealed that its drone-in-a-box (DIB) product has been shortlisted for a security award.

Percepto’s DIB has been revealed as one of the finalists for the Security and Fire Excellence Awards 2019.

The DIB system operates using artificial intelligence to deliver aerial surveillance through the navigation of pre-defined routes.

The unmanned system is then able to provide real-time detection and tracking of people, vehicles and anomalies.

Percepto’s solution is being used in security by organisations around the world, attempting to better increase safety and to improve compliance with regulations.

Percepto co-founder and chief commercial officer, Ariel Avitan, told security professionals at IFSEC International earlier this year: “The unique aerial perception afforded by autonomous drones will soon become part of the fabric of security and surveillance operations.”

“The Security & Fire Excellence Awards are the most highly respected in the security industry and we are especially proud to be recognised for our innovation in what is one of the most innovative and exciting areas of security technology development.”

The winners of the 2019 awards will be announced on Wednesday 20th November at the Hilton on Park Lane, London.
