Commercial Drone Professional is set to adopt a broader, more international outlook covering a greater range of markets to reflect the inherently global nature of the UAV sector.
You can expect the same sharp focus on the commercial UAV industry that CDP is known for but the brand will widen its scope to cover news and businesses from more regions around the world, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
With the level of investment being poured into commercial drones in the Gulf region, much of the future of the UAV industry lies in the Middle East and India. Increasingly, businesses and governments in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia are looking to work with the leading innovators in the US and Europe, and not least the UK.
CDP will aim to connect markets from around the world and will be ramping up events and multimedia initiatives to facilitate business between companies on different continents.
The move comes as CDP, which was launched by London-based Promedia Publishing, is incorporated into its Dubai-based parent company, ITP Media Group, in an effort to catapult the platform onto the world stage, allowing readers to keep a finger on the pulse of global markets and helping advertisers to reach more customers than ever.
“We aim to build on Promedia’s fantastic work in creating the go-to platform for news and analysis in the commercial drone market,” said Joe Peskett, group editor, transport & supply chain, ITP Media Group, who will take over the day-to-day running of CDP.
“CDP will continue to act as the voice of the UAV industry, only now it will be louder. The title will complement our existing brands and will help clients to gain access to a huge pool of companies in sectors including logistics and supply chain, oil and gas, construction and aerospace.
“I look forward to speaking with and meeting members of the industry in the coming months. Please do say ‘hello’: firstname.lastname@example.org / +971 4 444 3305.”
Alex Douglas, associate publisher at Promedia, said: “It gives me a great sense of satisfaction to know that CDP has grown to now be in a position to become a true player on the global market.
“The time in the role has been a real learning experience and it has been a pleasure to be involved in such a vibrant, exciting and growing industry for my time as editor.
“I know Joe and the team will do a fantastic job in growing the title throughout its next phase while staying true to Commercial Drone Professional’s core principles and readership it has served for the past 3 years.”
Benjamin McGladdery will take over the commercial running of CDP. He can be reached on email@example.com
