US sports bar brand Buffalo Wild Wings has announced that one of its franchisees will trial drone deliveries.
Last-mile delivery specialist Deuce Drone, founded in 2019, has been enlisted for the project.
It offers same-day delivery solutions to ‘brick and mortar’ retailers.
Now, Deuce Drone has signed a demonstration agreement with Potters Wings Mobile, a Buffalo Wild Wings Franchisee.
It will see Deuce Drone conduct a demonstration of the planned drone delivery system.
Meanwhile, the demonstration will take place at the franchisee’s Mobile, Alabama bar, likely at the end of August.
Included in Deuce Drone’s responsibilities will be: the design and operation of the landing, recharging and package handling system, and the software interfacing with both the drone and the point of sale (POS) operating system.
The company will also ensure that the operation complies with FAA and any local regulations.
“Buffalo Wild Wings is a perfect test case for Deuce Drone’s last mile delivery solution,” said Rhett Ross, CEO of Deuce Drone. “We feel we offer Buffalo Wild Wings a significant opportunity to provide alternative means of food and drink delivery to consumers.”
