Coverdrone insurance overhaul puts customers in the driving seat


Commercial drone insurance firm Coverdrone has put its customers at the forefront of its service by revamping its digital enrolment interface.

In a bid to make the insurance process easier for its customers, Coverdrone has introduced online tools to give commercial UAV operators more control over their policies.

Previously, customers have had to complete and submit an online form or call the Coverdrone office and then wait for feedback. While the team worked to ensure that queries are handled quickly, the involvement of a manual process proved to be time-consuming for the end-user.

The company has now scrapped its manual-only application process. Coverdrone’s customers can log on to the website to see easy options to renew or amend drone insurance policies.

The new process is not limited to desktops, users can access the platform via tablet and mobile phones, meaning that Coverdrone insurance can be updated on the go, even when customers are busy out on a job.

A spokesperson for Coverdrone explained: “The new functionality makes Coverdrone unique. All details are retained and stored so that you can access them when you need them. While other systems force users to recreate and replicate details each time they log on, Coverdrone clients will be able to make modifications to individual policy items.”
