Drone Alliance Europe has welcomed AirMap, Unifly, and Unisphere as associate members.
As part of the move, the organisation has also elevated Wing to its board of directors.
It says the growth has coincided with the Amsterdam High Level on Conference on Drones which saw the European Commission, European Aviation Safety Agency and national authorities adopt the ‘Amsterdam Declaration’ to strengthen and expand efforts to advance safe, secure, and green drone operations in Europe.
DAE executive director, Christoph Raab, said: “New membership strengthens the Alliance’s leadership as the European Commission and EASA work to finalise the Implementing and Delegated Regulations and undertake additional initiatives to further integrate drones in the European airspace.”
He added: “The Alliance is pleased to have AirMap, Unifly, Unisphere, and Wing bolster its call for harmonised implementation of drone regulations across all Member States to ensure growth of the European commercial drone market.”
