Drone companies’ merger driven by sector expectations


Two Australia-based unmanned aerial service and solution businesses with a combined 17 years’ experience have joined forces to meet industry demand.

Sci Aero Group is the result of the decision of operators SciAero and Altitude Imaging to combine forces.

They bring their professional expertise, knowledge and extensive fleet of aerial platforms and sensor engineering capability under new leadership with growth plans for further expansion.

Steve Brown, founder of Altitude Imaging and with over 25 years leadership experience across a wide variety of successful commercial companies has been appointed managing director of the new Sci Aero Group.

“We have been providing safe and efficient commercial drone services and technology solutions since 2006. The merged group provides us with the ability to better service our existing client base and a great opportunity to expand the services and technology to be a market leader in this segment,” said Brown.

Sci Aero Group will provide a range of aerial imaging, data capture and bespoke engineering solutions services across a broad range of industry sectors including mining, oil and gas, agriculture, construction, media, and government.
