The Drone Racing League (DRL), the global professional drone racing circuit, has unveiled the DRL Racer4, the next generation racing drone.
The DRL Racer4 marks the league’s fourth iteration, high-speed FPV (First Person View) drone, which can accelerate from 0 – 90 MPH in under a second.
The world’s top twelve pilots will race a fleet of 600 custom-built DRL Racer4 drones throughout the 2019 DRL Allianz World Championship Season.
It premieres on NBC and Twitter this Sunday, August 11 at 2pm ET.
DRL has also entered the consumer drone market and developed a new exclusive FPV drone for fans, launching the DRL Racer4 Street, a street-ready version of the Racer4.
DRL CEO & founder Nicholas Horbaczewaski, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the DRL Racer4 and the street model for everyone to experience the thrill and speed of professional drone racing.”
Adding: “The DRL Racer4 will make our 2019 DRL Allianz World Championship Season more competitive than ever and finally give our fans what they’ve been asking us for: a DRL drone they can fly.”
