Drone Safe Register adds new free file transfer service

Drone Safe Register (DSR), the directory for drone operators, has announced its new service, Drone Safe Transfer.

The company has been making moves to expand its portfolio of services in recent months, and is now offering its users a free file transfer service.

“One of the problems many modern businesses face,” the company explained in a statement, “is how to transfer large data files in a convenient, secure and professional way.”

Many file transfer services require a paid subscription if used on a regular basis.

DSR is offering its Drone Safe Transfer service free to all professional members for transfers of up to 50GB per file. One popular competitor DSR cited allows transfers of up to 20GB for an annual fee of €120 (£108).

Mark Boyt, CEO of Drone Safe Register, commented: “This is a game changer for commercial drone operators and will save valuable time and money as well as making them look more professional to their clients.

“Anyone who’s struggled to transfer large data files knows the potential frustration.

“This is just another service we’re launching in 2020 making DSR the one stop shop for commercial drone pilots.

“We originally planned this as a membership upgrade or paid service but we want to thank those who have supported DSR through the pandemic and this is a way of rewarding loyalty.”

Only last month DSR expanded its services with the launch of the Drone Safe Store, offering reliable drones and drone accessories in addition to a support helpline for new pilots.
