Drone used in arrest of A1 diesel thieves

A police drone has been in the recent arrest of two men who were caught stealing 750 litres of diesel fuel from a parked lorry on the A1 near Newark-on-Trent.

When the local men attempted to flee across a field on foot, and also by vehicle, Nottinghamshire Police used all resources at their disposal to keep track of them.

This included the force helicopter, as well as its dog unit and a drone, which resulted in the arrest of the offenders and the recovery of the diesel.
