Organisers of the annual Dronitaly forum have postponed the event amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The news comes as Italy has seen a dramatic rise in cases over the past week.
Mirumir srl, owner and organizer of Dronitaly, has decided to postpone the forum to 17-18 September.
As part of the announcement, it confirmed that the Bovisa Campus of Politecnico di Milano as the venue of the event.
A statement reads: “The decision, taken in agreement with the Scientific Committee, was taken as a consequence of the health emergency that is now affecting the Country and wants to allow sponsors, speakers and stakeholders a more serene and profitable participation.”
The event is aimed at sparking debate and conversation between the likes of PoliMI, PoliTO, Pic4Ser and SIFET along with the participation of representatives of national and international companies useful for the growth of the sector.
Regulatory scenarios, business development, enabling technologies for professional use, use of RPAS in industrial and environmental scenarios, cybersecurity and data protection are some of the major topics that will be discussed at the Forum.
