Visual intelligence specialist Edgybees, founded in 2017, has successfully earned a contract with AFWERX, a US Air Force program.
This news comes after AFWERX awarded the Washington-headquartered Edgybees a number of other contracts at the end of last year.
The latest contract is the largest yet, while 20 other small businesses have been slated to receive similar four-year fixed contracts with a combined worth of over $550m (£465m).
The partnership will see the US Air Force take advantage of Edgybees’ augmented reality software solution Argus.
It will provide commanders detailed insight into operational environments by augmenting live video footage with layers of real-time geospatial information.
Adam Kaplan, CEO and co-founder of Edgybees, said: “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with AFWERX by providing our visual intelligence technology to bolster the functionality of the US Air Force’s existing technologies.
“Whether it’s manned or unmanned aircrafts, ground control, or software systems – Edgybees will continue to seamlessly integrate its offering into US Air Force technologies to provide them with real-time actionable insights that improve precise decision-making in training and operations.”
