Cambridgeshire-based drone specialist, Ely Aviation, has teamed up with Arc Aerial Imaging to launch a new commercial course.
The ‘Introduction to Drone Aerial Imaging for Mapping, Surveying and Photogrammetry’ course is due to begin in late September.
Since April 2017, ARC Aerial Imaging has been delivering its ‘Introduction to Drone Aerial Imaging for Mapping, Surveying and Photogrammetry Course’ on a regular basis, which is the only one of its kind that’s being delivered in the UK.
The two-day course will teach current PfCO-holders, drone-operating businesses and organisations the important theory and fundamentals of aerial imaging to enhance their understanding and approaches towards mapping with drones through classroom and practical-based training, working towards the accurate collation of aerial imaging for the creation of mapping, surveying and other technical geospatial products.
Earlier this month Ely Aviation announced it was launching a new division to focus on aerial surveying, inspection and geospatial analysis.
The company’s operations director, Rachel Titchener, said: “We have been asked for our more specialist aerial imaging services on an increasing basis over the last six months.
