Flyability has been elected by a jury of 100 leading investors and startup experts as the best startup of Switzerland at the Top 100 Swiss Startup Award event in Zürich.
After less than 5 years in business, the company said it was delighted to be recognised for what it has achieved so far.
Now with over 85 full time employees, Flyability has acquired over 400 international customers.
As part of the award announcement, the company outlines how its drones have inspected the site of Chernobyl, explored the Greenland ice cap to help understand the impacts of climate change, and are currently used in over 50% of US nuclear power plants, as some of its major achievements.
Patrick Thévoz, CEO at Flyability, commented: “Beyond engineering drones, we are in the business of increasing workers’ safety, reducing downtimes of industrial infrastructures, and preventing risks of larger catastrophes.”
Adding: “The challenges we met until now go beyond pure technological ones: understanding this market to build the right product has been our major challenge as a pioneer. The huge commercial success of the new generation of products we launched this year is in great part due to the amount of customer feedback we gathered and implemented on our products.”
