Heliguy has teamed up with Survey Solutions Scotland in a move to supply clients with long-range aircraft from Delair Tech.
As part of the agreement, Heliguy will now be supplying the Delair UX11, a photogrammetric professional fixed-wing flier capable of large-area mapping with centimetre-level precision, optional PPK for survey-grade results, onboard data processing and BVLOS ready communications.
On the partnership, Heliguy’s business development manager, Ruairi Hardman, is hoping it will open the door to new clients for the Newcastle-based firm.
He said: “We are delighted to form a strategic partnership with Survey Solutions Scotland. The partnership ensures we continue to develop future innovative capabilities for our customers, with the dedicated service they have come to expect from Heliguy and Survey Solutions Scotland.”
Aimed at industries which include mining, quarrying and agriculture, the UX11 has a flight time of nearly an hour and weighs 1.4kg with a payload.
One of the first tasks for the new partnership was to give a UX11 demonstration to Iris Group, which is looking for an aircraft for a mission in the Middle East.
Following the meeting, Iris Group took to social media and commented on the demo, stating: “A very professional demonstration, with a capable aircraft and excellent demonstration team. We enjoy working with Heliguy and look forward to more in the future.”
Nick Smart, technical sales consultant from Survey Solutions Scotland, is also looking forward to what the partnership can bring.
He said: “The UX11 is already proven in the field, carrying out surveys successfully. We look forward to further demonstrating the system and its advanced features, as different industries start to adopt the technology.”
