British UAV specialist Heliguy has announced a new partnership with communications technology specialist Excelerate.
The aim of the partnership is to encourage cross-pollination of the pair’s expertise and technology, and to aid in the search for a solution to real-time incident response and also data acquisition.
More specifically it will see Heliguy’s UAS technologies hand-in-hand with Excelerate’s UAV Streamer technology, which makes live incident video footage more accessible.
The duo have an extensive combined experience, working with bodies such as the Greater Manchester Police, London Fire Brigade, National UK and Middle East Ambulance & Resilience Services and Thames Valley Police.
Both were also selected as partners with the Home Office for an £8m YPO framework agreement earlier this year.
Cardiff-based Excelerate supports emergency services, government organisations, maritime operations, the oil and gas sector, and national infrastructure.
Heliguy supplies drones to major clients across the nuclear, construction, infrastructure, and public safety sectors.
It has recently expanded into the US market, opening in Texas.
Ruairi Hardman, business development manager at Heliguy, said: “We are really excited about this partnership.
“Heliguy has become a market leader in the supply of drones and UAVs in the UK and internationally, and Excelerate has developed some complimentary solutions which give greater capability to our ecosystem.”
