International sports marketing duo make move into drone racing


Strategic advisors and consultants, Jean-Francois Denis and Paul Sullivan, have joined the IUDRO director’s board for the upcoming 2020 season.

Denis set up the first ever sport media advisory firm to be listed on the LSE AIM’s market while Sullivan developed global companies from start-ups, both professionals worked closely with many sports governing bodies, media companies and major brands, across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.

Denis has also held senior management positions in leading sports marketing agencies and consulting firms that has implemented commercial and broadcasting agreements for the world’s biggest sports events and properties, including the FIFA Football World Cups, the IAAF and FIBA World Championships, the English FA Premier League, World Rugby Tournaments, Formula One World Championships, World Rally Championship, the Paralympic Games and WWE.

James Sheriff, the Coventry University Drone Racing coach, is pleased with the industry experience Denis can bring.

He commented: “His knowledge and experience with other well-known sports, will help push the drone racing industry forward to a growing scene.”

With a great deal of experience in business development, Sullivan has also consulted with many leading sports organisations including the FA, Premier League, PFA, and leading sports providers such as Nike, Puma and Adidas.

With a speciality in the Automotive sector, he’s also been in Business Development with some of the world’s most prestigious brands including Jaguar, Aston Martin, Ford, BMW, Bentley, and Volvo.

Applications are open for all Universities internationally to compete in the IUDRO league, with racing dates to be released in late September.
