Drone-based solutions provider Lidar USA has made its technology solutions more affordable in a bid not to exclude members of the industry.
The organisation, which was founded in 1999, has offset the upfront costs for end users by introducing a subscription service.
With the subscription offer, which is available now, users have the option to acquire a piece of Lidar scanning hardware at the fraction of its regular price, then pay a set fee over the course of regular payments across a 12-month period.
The monthly payment allows end users to access Lidar USA’s data analytics service.
Stephen Ball, Lidar USA’s business development manager, told Commercial Drone Professional: “It gives you the ability to have your kit with data at an affordable price.
“You’re taking away a big chunks of work. It is and upload and a download, and that helps get people into the market with Lidar.”
Lidar USA provides solutions for GIS, surveying, civil engineering, agriculture, forensics, BIM, heritage mapping.
