Lincolnshire Police used a drone to find a girl who called emergency services and said how she was in an unknown location with a man who had just raped her.
According to a report by the BBC, the drone’s thermal imaging camera was used to identify the surroundings the girl, 16, described.
Inspector Ed Delderfield, of Lincolnshire Police, said officers had the drone and thermal imaging device in their car.
After sending the drone up, officers were quickly able to identify the location and exact whereabouts of the girl.
Following the incident, the police confirmed the girl was being treated by specially-trained officers and a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of rape.
