MoD selects Tethered Drone Systems for Royal Navy project

The Ministry of Defence has selected Tethered Drone Systems to be part of a Royal Nave DARE Innovation project.

As part of the plan, it will deliver a Tether System that can be integrated with a MoD Air Platform to support and enable trials.

The trials will be used in order to evidence and inform naval capability on potential future deployment.

In the announcement, it was confirmed that the concept project will start soon and run over the coming months.

Tethered Drone Systems said it was a great opportunity for it as a young business and SME to work with the MOD and other defence suppliers to showcase its innovative design and development skills within the specific area.

    We have been working on a drone for over 5 years which has long range 400 kms and 8 hour flight time and the ability to delivery up to a 10 kg load, that we think the Royal Navy should have a look at during their Drone evaluation program. We love should to show case it.
