DroneDeploy has received the ISO-27001 security certification, an internationally accepted security standard.

The firm says the certification shows its commitment to customer data security.

It recognised that that in a world of ever-changing threats to data security, the company needed to stay ahead of those threats and maximize its ability to close vulnerabilities and chose the new certification to do so.

Considered a holistic security certification, the ISO-27001 made it necessary for DroneDeploy to meet a number of certification requirements.

It had to undertake a systematic audit of all their information security risks, identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts as well as develop a comprehensive suite of information security controls designed to address any and all security risks identified.

It additionally had to adopt a managerial plan that ensures coherent implementation of the security controls and constant vigilance in updating those controls to identify and meet new threats.
