Parrot and DroneSense partner to better equip public safety UAS programs

Parrot has partnered with DroneSense to enable public safety UAS teams to use the full suite of DroneSense capabilities tailor-made for the needs of first responders with their ANAFI aircraft.

The partnership hopes to allow the ANAFI’s functionality to couple with the scene management tools in the DroneSense Platform to provide public safety operators with an unparalleled level of situational awareness that will ultimately help save more lives.

DroneSense provides drone pilots with an intuitive flight control interface that they can use to fly any mission with any drone in their fleet.

Incident commanders gain complete situational awareness with live video streams and telemetry data from drones in the air as well as the ability to collaborate with the pilots on scene from anywhere.

DroneSense also provides program administrators with a complete system of record to keep track of critical data like flight logs, hardware, and personnel.

Jerome Bouvard, Parrot’s director of strategic partnership, said: “Parrot consistently offers top-of-the-line solutions to our enterprise customers, and this partnership with DroneSense will allow us to deliver a seamless and integrated experience.”

Adding: “With entire fleets of drones to manage, decision-makers in the public safety sector are often faced with unique challenges when it comes to effective mission planning and hardware tracking. We expect these challenges to be eased greatly through this ongoing partnership.”

Through its SDK Partner program, Parrot is working to create a global ecosystem of drone software providers to serve the unique and ever-evolving needs of its enterprise and professional users.
