Pentagon investigates after reports of drone near President Trump’s Air Force One

The Pentagon is investigating after a drone was spotted near President Trump’s Air Force One.

Reports suggest that people aboard saw a drone just below the plane.

Fox News reported on how the Air Force is now investigating whether the reports are true.

Air Force one went on to land safely at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C on Sunday.

The White House confirmed the incident happened when Trump was returning from his golf resort in Bedminster.

A statement from the Air Force unit said: “The 89th Airlift Wing is aware of the report. The matter is under review. The 89th Airlift Wing’s C-32A aircraft landed safely without incident.”

Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs tweeted that multiple people aboard the plane saw “what appeared to be a drone just below the plane.”
