Pix4D launches Pix4Dcloud as standalone product replacing previous cloud software

Pix4D has launched Pix4Dcloud, a mapping platform for online surveying workflows and site monitoring.

The company confirmed that Pix4Dcloud replaces the previous Pix4Dmapper Cloud and Pix4Dbim Cloud in a move to offer better functionality.

Both Pix4Dcloud and Pix4Dcloud Advanced are standalone cloud products that can be purchased on top of any Pix4D product although they differ in their functionality.

All projects and datasets are now in one place: the drive. Pix4D says this allows users to organise data more efficiently.

The move allows users to organize annotations into groups, improve 2D comparisons and have more functionality with AutoGCPs.

The Pix4Dmapper and Pix4Dcloud Advanced bundle is the equivalent to the former Pix4Dbim license, but the cloud comes with a new interface and more features.

  1. My only comment is, why has it taken so long to research allegations and checking as to the validity of the claims of data being transmitted back to China? Thus article now increases my concern that it truly is true and this is validation of the avalanche of misinformation that we are having dumped on us daily. My belief level would be greatly increased if Homeland Security would come out and confirm these findings and that no longer are DJI on the exclusion list for performing work on Governmental projects or sensitive infrastructure. Until such confirmation comes bidding or pursuing such projects is a waste of time.
