RIEGL continues global expansion with move into Australia


RIEGL has moved into Australia and Oceania as part of a move that sees the firm continue its global expansion.

The Australian office will focus on the airborne and UAV sectors, allowing for partners to continue the drive with terrestrial and mobile products.

The new office is set to be headed up by managing director Glenn Byth, alongside Bernhard Kurzbauer as commercial director.

In Oceania, the new office will aim toprovide direct RIEGL representation throughout Australia and New Zealand, offering full support to its existing RIEGL distributors in Australia C.R. Kennedy, and in New Zealand, Geospace.

Johannes Riegl, president of RIEGL International, the division responsible for worldwide expansion, commented on the move.

He said: “We are very excited to further increase our global presence by opening our new office in Australia. We would like to thank our many loyal customers in Australia and New Zealand encouraging us to take this next step in our growth strategy.”

He added: “Thanks also to our long-term partner C.R. Kennedy for their support in this project, and congratulations and all the best to Glenne Blyth for his new responsibility and for growing RIEGL in Australia and New Zealand to new levels.”

The new subsidiary will join the existing network of RIEGL offices in its HQ Austria, the United States, Japan, and China.
