Shutterstock has announced a content distribution deal with one of the largest global drone operations companies, DroneBase.
The new agreement will bring hundreds of high-quality 4K videos produced by DroneBase’s worldwide Pilot Network to Shutterstock’s 1.8 million customers.
Shutterstock has continued to see an increase in demand for drone footage on the site as customers are looking for aerial imagery to support their projects from a birds-eye-view.
DroneBase’s global network of pilot covers all 50 states and over 70 countries, including Australia, Austria, Bermuda, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Malta, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and Tanzania.
DroneBase claims to be the ‘most scalable, affordable, and easy-to-integrate solution’ for enterprises to acquire drone data from the world’s largest pilot network.
The company was incubated by Y Combinator and has raised more than $17m ($12.7m) in funding from Union Square Ventures, Upfront Ventures, Hearst Ventures, Pritzker Group, Accel Partners, SV Angel and DJI.
