Sky-Drones has partnered with Altitude Angel in a move that will also see the UAV flight control system solutions firm integrate airspace services in SmartAP GCS.
On the alliance, the company has said that as a trusted partner to regulatory groups and national aviation authorities, it hopes Altitude Angel can enhance its move of UAV integration into controlled airspace.
Kirill Shilov, CEO at Sky-Drones, said: “At Sky-Drones we highly appreciate, prioritise and always strive to enhance the safety of drone operations.”
To help make it work easier, Sky-Drones will be using SmartAP GCS, a mission planning and control software developed internally.
The application is available for any platforms and operating systems and recently, the company finished the first step of Altitude Angel services integration into the app.
In the future, Sky-Drones says its SmartAP users will be able to see airspace and ground hazard data which will make their decisions on flight location selection and mission scenarios more aware and adequate.
It went on to describe how it felt the firm had made a major milestone towards incorporating BVLOS drone operations on a regular basis which will eventually lead to the new business opportunities of UAV applications and is expecting the next step to be an implementation of automated in-app airspace authorisation request based on the pre-planned mission.
