The Global Energy Group, an award-winning energy sector service group, has increased its inspection services by bringing drone capabilities in-house.
The UK-based company, which works to makes its customers’ assets more profitable by reducing risks in construction and reducing asset downtime through effective integrity and maintenance solutions, contracted Sky-Futures to train three pilots.
Sky-Futures, established in 2009, specialises in delivering training and support to firms looking to integrate drones into their day-to-day operations.
A spokesperson for the Global Energy Group said: “Working in collaboration with Sky-Futures, Global Energy believe that together, we have a unique product that will deliver true efficiencies in the delivery of UAV inspection services to a wide range of industries including oil & gas, renewables (onshore / offshore wind), utilities, civils etc.”
Earlier this year it was announced that Sky-Futures had teamed up with NATS, the UK’s leading provider of air traffic management services.
The partnership is designed to deliver tailored, scenario-based training that will aim to set a new standard for the UK with a prominent focus on safety.
