Skyborne Technology acquires airport for drone manufacture and pilot training


Skyborne Technology has acquired Costin Airport for flight operations, manufacturing and UAS training.

The move has been described as one which will allow Skyborne Technology and Unmanned Systems to strengthen and further enhance their partnership.

Don Bintz, president of Unmanned Systems, said: “Skyborne Technology and Unmanned Systems will help build employment in Gulf County, Florida to further develop the educational needs in high tech manned and unmanned systems.”

Mike Lawson, CEO of Skyborne Technology added: “Skyborne chose Gulf County for both the political support and local assets that will insure Skyborne’s growth and opportunities. We are planning a press conference in the next two weeks to display several of our air assets at the recently acquired Costin airport.”

Plans have already been made for tests flights at the site and for it to become a customer base in Central America and the Caribbean as ‘a one stop shop’ for inspection.
