Drone delivery specialist Skyports has been announced as the fourth company to join a two-year, £8m contract with the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) and the UK Home Office.
The framework will see Skyports – alongside iRed, Heliguy and Iprosurv – support public sector operations, including emergency and blue light services.
Skyports’ responsibilities will include providing drone services for emergency medicine delivery, missing persons searches and natural disaster response.
Skyports additionally works in designing and building landing infrastructure in urban areas.
