The Home Office has praised Derbyshire Police for its work with drones as part of its #CelebratingOurServices Christmas campaign.
The government department took to twitter to release a video featuring Derbyshire Police’s Tom Gee who explained how the force uses drones.
He went into depth on how the team has been able to assist the local Fire Service, quickly to give ground officers aerial insight and how they have been used to help gather intel.
Police drone use is increasing across the UK and last week, Commercial Drone Professional featured a special report on how Lincolnshire Police is going about its use of drones which you can read more of here.
