VIDEO: West Midlands Police documents how it dealt with Extinction Rebellion protest by drone


West Midlands Police has released drone footage showing how it policed an Extinction Rebellion protest in Birmingham.

It details how a team of officers worked with the protesters in a bid to balance their right to protest while minimising disruption.

The video goes on to detail that although traffic delays were caused for motorists going in and out of the city, traffic was halted at junctions intermittently to help keep traffic moving.

The policing team deemed the mission as a successful one and detailed how it was pleased it was able to keep everyone safe.
