WATCH: University has success with Koala spotting drones


The Queensland University of Technology has put drones to work in Koala spotting work, in what it calls a successful project.

The ‘ground-breaking’ technology has proven to be less intrusive and more reliable than traditional methods.

According to the university, the drone covers an area in a “lawnmower” pattern to map how many Koalas are living in a specific location.
