Wingtra, the Swiss drone company manufacturing the one of the world’s first high-precision VTOL drones, has locked in a partnership agreement with Vekom.

Under the new framework with the Leica Geosystems equipment dealer, which boasts experience with professional surveying UAVs, Wingtra drones will be distributed via its network in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

“We are excited to work with Vekom Geo d.o.o., a surveying dealer with a long-standing tradition and early-adopter of UAV technology, to supply Wingtra products to the local market. Meet us at the Serbian WingtraOne premiere at the Hilton Belgrade on the 25th of April” stated Antonio, sales manager at Wingtra.

Wingtra and Vekom teams celebrated the partnership at Vekom & Prijatelji 2018 annual event in Beograd.

Veljko Fustic, CEO at Vekom Geo, added: “We are glad that we can finally offer solution able to map large areas with high accuracy. Integration of VTOL concept in fixed wing UAVs is something revolutionary in the field of aerial data acquisition.

“Partnership with Wingtra is important for us because it will bring to our customers reliable system which will help them to make better decisions in fields of mapping, agriculture, forestry and mining.”

WingtraOne drone takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing aircraft. This technology (VTOL) eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry heavier and thus better sensors.
