Wingtra, the Swiss drone manufacturer commercialising the first high-precision VTOL drone, has locked in a deal to expand its global presence.
The company has signed a distribution partnership agreement with Geo Sustavi, a specialist surveying equipment dealer with a strong focus on UAV mapping operations and also a partner of Pix4D.
Geo Sustavi will be offering WingtraOne drones through its distribution network in two major Croatian cities, Zagreb and Split.
“This business enables us to offer the latest technology in the UAV mapping field to the Croatian market. The world’s first commercial VTOL drone WingtraOne will surely fill the market gap by combining safety, speed and the accuracy of the aircraft,” commented Vedran Solarić, director of Geo Sustavi.
WingtraOne drone is managed through an intuitive mission planning app WingtraPilot.
WingtraOne drone takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing drone. VTOL technology eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry heavier and thus better sensors still allows mapping of large areas.
“For Wingtra this partnership means a further step in expanding the distribution network in Europe, after establishing presence on six continents. Geospatial professionals and aerial mapping specialist in Croatia will finally also have access to the unique advantages that the WingtraOne professional VTOL brings,” added Antonio Živolić, sales manager at Wingtra.
The announcement comes less than a week on from the news that Wingtra signed a partnership agreement with Nikon-Trimble, a surveying, construction and precision agriculture equipment maker and reseller.
