Yuneec and Mobilicom form strategic partnership for commercial drone market


Yuneec International and Mobilicom have confirmed they have entered into a strategic partnership.

The companies went on to detail that the collaboration would be formed around the commercial and federal drone markets.

Based on Yuneec’s H520 hexacopter and Mobilicom’s SkyHopper and LTE technology, both firms will work together to develop two innovative commercial and government drone solutions.

Joe Schamuhn, VP of global sales for Yuneec International think listening to what customers need will be key to unlocking the right solution.

He said: “In listening to the needs of our commercial & federal customers within this segment, it was our objective to come up with a solution that would answer their pain points.”

Adding: “The partnership with Mobilicom enables us to successfully address these unmet needs and offer them two groundbreaking products.”

Both companies went on to confirm that they will focus on high end secutiry and interference avoidance, flexible end-to-end solution and connectivity, reliability and cost effectiveness as part of their work.

Mobilicom’s CEO, Oren Elkayam, said: “SkyHopper brings a high-end, end-to-end solution for the government, federal and commercial market, embedded into Yuneec’s mass marketed proven commercial drone system.

“This offering serves as an unmatchable, cost-effective drone solution for the commercial and government market.”

The government & enterprise drone solution officially launched yesterday at UTSec, the Summit for Drones, Unmanned Technology and Security in Nuremburg.
